Frankie Peacock holds both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Percussion Performance from UCLA. Graduating Magna Cum Laude, Frankie’s exceptional academic and musical dedication earned several prestigious honors, including the Regents Scholarship, the Atwater Kent Scholarship, and the Graduate Opportunity Fellowship. This rigorous training provided a deep foundation in comprehensive music theory, conducting, and historical performance practices, allowing Frankie to bring an elite level of knowledge to the lessons.

 

With extensive experience teaching a wide range of age groups and skill levels, Frankie specializes in making music accessible, engaging, and fun for children and young adults. Frankie’s background includes everything from guiding young beginners through their very first private drum set lessons to directing large school percussion ensembles, marching bands, and specialized youth drumlines. Across all of these settings, Frankie’s instructional approach emphasizes building a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment that nurtures personal confidence and character alongside technical musical mastery.

 

This broad teaching experience is directly enriched by Frankie’s active career as a professional orchestral musician, which includes performing as a principal player and frequent substitute in prominent regional symphonies.
